## **Fishing**

Fishing is the core fun of the game. Who knows what you might hook up?&#x20;

**Step 1: Cast your line**

Longer casts consume more energy but increase the chances of hooking more valuable and challenging fish.&#x20;

**Step 2: Hook**

Wait until you see bubbles and hook the fish! Don't miss or you will waste energy.&#x20;

**Step 3: Reel**

Keep the fish icon within the capture zone by tapping or holding the reel. Rarer fish will most faster and more erratically - good luck anglers!&#x20;

## **Fishing Levels**

Catch more fish to gain XP, which allows your to level up. As you level up, you unlock *new* fish and also increase your odds of encountering rarer fish.&#x20;

## Bait

Currently there are 4 types of bait which increases your chance of encountering certain fish

* Small bait: **250%** **boost** to Rare fish drop weight
* Medium bait: **200%** **boost** to Epic fish drop weight
* Big bait: **150%** **boost** to Legendary fish drop weight
* Mythic Bait: **2000% boost** to Mythic fish drop weight

#### Mythic Bait Pity

Mythic Bait has a special property where pity will accumulate for each cast using a Mythic Bait charge that doesn't result in a **caught Mythic** fish.

After accumulating 29 pity, using a Mythic Bait charge will **guarantee** a Mythic fish appearance.

Pity is reset to 0 after **catching** a Mythic fish.

x5 and x20 fishing will multiply both pity given and pity required.

Take the following example, all using Mythic Bait charges:

1\) x20 fishing, no mythic

2\) x5 fishing, no mythic

3\) x20 fishing, no mythic

4\) x1 fishing

In this example, pity works as follows:

1\) 20 pity, 580 (29 \* 20) pity required

2\) 20 (from previously, + 5 pity, 145 (29 \* 5) pity required

3\) 45 pity (20 + 5 + 20), 580 pity required

4\) Pity will trigger on the x1 fishing cast, cast pity required is 29 and the player has 45 pity.

5\) Player catches Mythic fish, pity resets to 0.

Over time players may unlock new locations, which are either permanent or time limited. Experience new fish and potentially special rewards!

## **Upgrades**

Players can upgrade their fishing gear to get various benefits, including:

* Fishing Manual: Increase XP of fish caught
* Reel: Increase capture zone of fishing
* Icebox: Increase gold value of fish caught
* Lucky charm: Chance to receive random items from catching
* Cutting board: Chance to not consume bait
* Rod handle: Chance to not consume energy

## **x5/x20 Fishing**

x5 Fishing and X20 Fishing are **unlocked** at level 5/30 respectively, so level up to access these features!

x5 and x20 Fishing are ways for advanced anglers to fish quickly:

* Energy used is multiplied.
* Rod break/downgrade chances are multiplied.
* Fish caught are multiplied.
* There must be enough bait and energy for the chosen multiplier.

x5 fishing is **free** but x20 Fishing has a **1200 gold** fee.
