# Special Event: Lucky Lantern

The Lunar New Year Zone will be live from **12th February 2 AM UTC - 26th February 2 AM UTC.**

**In addition** to new fish and pets, there is a special **Lucky Lantern** that can be caught via **Lunar Baits,** which grants a Jackpot and the Lunar King status!

**Note: Lunar Baits cannot be refunded via Cutting Board.**

**How To Play**

Simply buy Lunar Baits in the event shop and fish using them in the regular zone updated for Lunar Near Year (**not Cavern!)**. 

Everything relies on catching the **Lucky Lantern:**

1. Lunar Baits cost 1000 FISH and have 10 charges
2. Fishing with the Lunar Bait has 0.06% chance of catching the Lucky Lantern
   1. Fishing at 5x or 20x will increase the chances proportionally.

**Lucky Lantern**

Catching the Lucky Lantern will grant **two** prizes:

1. A FISH Jackpot will be won instantly
2. The player will become the new **Lunar King**
   1. At the start of the event, there is no Lunar King

**Jackpot**

1. Lucky Lantern Jackpot starts at **50,000 FISH**
2. Every Lunar Bait bought since the previous Lucky Lantern catch will add **300 FISH** to the Jackpot
3. The catcher of the Lucky Lantern will win the total Jackpot, after which it resets back to 50,000 FISH again.

**Lunar King**

1. Players can accumulate **time spent** as the **Lunar King** after catching the Lucky Lantern, until another player catches the Lantern.
2. The final Lunar King prize pool will be split amongst all Lunar Kings after the event is over:
   1. This prize pool starts at **200,000 FISH**
   2. Each Lunar Bait bought during the event adds **300 FISH** to the final prize pool
3. The Lunar King prize pool is thus split based on the duration each player spent as the Lunar King:
   1. Accumulate more time as the Lunar King to win more!

   1. 500 \* 300 = 150,000 FISH added to Lunar King prize pool

   1. Player A - Total Duration: 30 hours
   2. Player B - Total Duration: 192 hours
   3. Player C - Total Duration: 114 hours
4. Payouts:
   1. Player A - 30/336 \* 350,000 = 31,250 FISH
   2. Player B - 192/336 \* 350,000 = 200,000 FISH
   3. Player C - 114/336 \* 350,000 = 118,750 FISH
