# Special Event: King of the Hill

The King of the Hill event will be live from **23rd April 2 AM UTC - 7th May 2 AM UTC.**

**Fishing in the regular zone** using **Crown Baits** has a chance to catch the **Royal Sword,** granting a Jackpot and the King of the Hill status!

**Note: Crown Baits cannot be refunded via Cutting Board.**

**How To Play**

Simply buy Crown Baits in the shop and fish using them in the regular zone (**not Cavern!)**. 

Everything relies on catching the **Royal Sword:**

1. Crown Baits cost 1000 FISH and have 10 charges
2. Fishing with the Crown Bait has 0.1% chance of catching the Royal Sword
   1. Fishing at 5x or 20x will increase the chances proportionally.

**Royal Sword**

Catching the Royal Sword will grant **two** prizes:

1. A FISH Jackpot will be won instantly
2. The player will become the new **King of the Hill**
   1. At the start of the event, there is no **King of the Hill.**

**Jackpot**

1. Royal Sword Jackpot starts at **25,000 FISH**
2. Every Crown Bait bought since the previous Royal Sword catch will add **300 FISH** to the Jackpot
3. The catcher of the Royal Sword will win the total Jackpot, after which it resets back to 25,000 FISH again.

**King of the Hill**

1. Players can accumulate **time spent** as the **King of the Hill** after catching the Royal Sword, until another player catches the Royal Sword.
2. The final King of the Hill prize pool will be split amongst all Kings of the Hill after the event is over:
   1. This prize pool starts at **600,000 FISH**
   2. Each Royal Bait bought during the event adds **300 FISH** to the final prize pool
3. The King of the Hill prize pool is thus split based on the duration each player spent as the King of the Hill:
   1. Accumulate more time as the King of the Hill to win more!

   1. Player A - 42/336 \* 750,000 = 93,750 FISH
   2. Player B - 84/336 \* 750,000 = 187,500 FISH
   3. Player C - 210/336 \* 750,000 = 468,750 FISH
